HOW TO PLAY TOGETHER
HOST
One player opens PLAY and clicks HOST on the main menu. A 5-character join code shows at the top of the screen.
K7Q2MSHARE THE CODE
Send the code to your friends. Press ESC and click COPY CODE to put it on your clipboard.
JOIN
Friends open this page, click PLAY, then JOIN, and type the code. Up to 4 Robos per crew. The host starts the shift from the Lift button.
HEADPHONES STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
Sound is how you survive. The monsters are big and slow, and you hear their footsteps through the walls long before you see them.
If one sees you, run and hide. Then listen until the steps are gone.
MIC FOR VOICE CHAT
Voice is proximity-based: teammates hear you when they are near you. Your browser asks for the microphone. Click ALLOW.
Blocked it by mistake? Click the icon left of the address, allow the microphone, and reload. No mic? Type chat and the quick-chat wheel still work.
Monsters hear voices too. Whisper.

THE RECALLED
Things that still live on the lower floors. Learn their sounds.
THE MANNEQUIN
Not for sale. Only moves when nobody looks at it, so somebody keeps looking.
LISTENHollow plastic knocks on tile. A joint creaks when it freezes.
DUST BUNNIES
Cute from far away. Teeth from closer. They come in packs, and you can throw them.
LISTENSmall rubbery squeaks and fast chewing under the tables.
THE CAROLERS
Three heads, one song, no volume knob. They sing when they hear you.
LISTENA faint hum and squeaky casters. When the song starts, go silent until it falls apart.
THE LISTENER
Your call is important to it. It says your words back from the wrong room.
LISTENAlmost nothing. A cloth rustle up close and old store announcements. If a friend says OVER HERE from somewhere odd, it is not your friend.
THE BELLHOP
It will take your bags. You are the bags.
LISTENDress-shoe heel clicks and a squeaky cart wheel. A quiet "ting" means it saw something.
PIP-POP
A kids' show puppet looking for a volunteer. Please do not raise your hand.
LISTENA music-box giggle overhead and a sleeve dragging across the ceiling grid.
DEAD AIR
A cardboard anchorman. Turn it sideways and it is gone. That's the news.
LISTENA low electric hum and a far-off studio crowd. A steady beep means sign-off. Look away.
